With just over a week to go to to the Saint Lucia Regatta, January 16- 18, the entries are coming in very quickly. Registered thus far are boats from Antigua, Barbados and Martinique, along with entries from the ARC, and of course St. Lucia. There are also rumblings over the horizon from Trinidad about bringing the Henderson 30's over this year. Meanwhile, on island, the J-24 sailors are getting their practice in on the Wednesday afternoon and Sunday races, with an eye to 'putting some licks' on local hot sailor Mike Green, who will be skippering 'Attitude'. The local J-24 fleet now numbers 5 boats, and with 2 more expected in the club later this year. With other J's already in Bequia, Grenada and Trinidad, plans are to create a J-24 class as a regular part of the regatta. © Copyright 2001/2002/2003/2004/2005 caribbeanracing.com |
