The 2005 Mount Gay/Boatyard Regatta is scheduled this year 26th - 29th May and all indications are that it will be a hot year with intense competition between Bajans and Trinis. The J105, Whistler will get lots of pressure from Enzyme, and Brugga Johnson will be there with his new toy, Rapajam, which has been cleaning up the regional circuit. Local hero, Andrew Burke, who has won the regatta more times than anyone else will be around to keep the rock stars at bay. Meanwhile, the little red boat Jump Up will be aiming to show the Hugos of this world that size does not matter.

The regatta will be sailed out of Carlisle Bay in Bridgetown. Four classes are expected to race including Racing, Cruising A and B and Charter. Registration closes at 1300 on Thurday, May 26th and the Skipper’s briefing is scheduled that evening at 1800. Two races are planned on Friday and Saturday and one on Sunday. Anyone interest in chartering should contact the Barbodos Yacht Club via email as soon as possible. For more information check out the website or contact the organizers by email.
