Carriacou Sailing Series

The Grenada Yacht Club in conjunction with the organizing committee for the Carriacou Sailing Series has now made available the notice of Race for the Carriacou Sailing Series to be held on November 12 – 15- 2003 at Silver Beach Resort, Hillsborough, Carriacou West Indies.

Five classes are planned which include Racing (with spinnaker), Cruiser/Racer (both spinnaker and non-spinnaker), Cruising (non-spinnaker), J-24 (both spinnaker and non-spinnaker) and Multi-hull (with and without spinnaker). Using the CSA rating rules, the committee may split any class depending on the number of entries. Registration begins at 1700h on Wednesday, November 12th followed by opening ceremony and the skippers briefing. Thursday is the first day of racing and a barbeque beach party is planned at White Island that evening. Friday, following race two, there is a costume party at Petite Martinique and the theme is “Pirates of the Caribbean. Following the third day of racing, prizes will be given at the closing ceremony at 1900h at the After Hours Night Club at Tyrell Bay.
