At the end of the first day of the Puerto Rico International Regatta Cape Air CORT participants had a total of twelve races under their belts and there were no changes on the scoreboard after the St Croix International Regatta.
Antigua’s Lost Horizon II Jamie Dobbs continues to lead the racing class with 23 points. Magnificent 7 from St Thomas is second with 28 points and 33 points gives Kevin Rowlette and his Willy T crew is third.
St Maarten’s 2 Contact Carib has a commanding lead in the 2-boat Melges 24 class against Guy Eldridge’s Mistress Quickly with 17 points versus 36.
In the racer/cruiser class the battle continues between BVI boats Pipe Dream and Cold Beer but Cold Beer has the upper hand with a 12-point lead. Dehlerious from the BVI rounds out the class in third place; Tempest and Arawa are out of the running with a no-show in Puerto Rico.
