Cape Air has been named the official airline of the 2010 Cape Air C.O.R.T. Series for the third year in a row. The Hyannis, Massachusetts-based regional airline whose Caribbean route took flight in 1998, is also the official airline of the Puerto Rico Heineken International Regatta.

"Air and sea make for a perfect partnership," says Cape Air President, Dan Wolf. "All of us at Cape Air are proud to sponsor an event that brings such support to the Island's sailing community. Congratulations for C.O.R.T. and fair winds to all of the sailors."

The Caribbean Ocean Racing Triangle Series, C.O.R.T. for short, is a trio of regattas that includes the St. Croix Yacht Club Hospice Regatta, the Puerto Rico Heineken International Regatta, and the BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival. At the conclusion of each event round-trip tickets for Cape Air routes in the Caribbean will be raffled to sailors.

The 2010 Cape Air C.O.R.T. Series kicks off with the St. Croix Yacht Club Hospice Regatta, set for February 19 to 21 and hosted out of the St. Croix Yacht Club in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The second leg, the Puerto Rico Heineken International Regatta, will be held March 19 to 21 with the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival, set for March 29 to April 4, wrapping up the 2010 C.O.R.T. Series.

Bob Phillips, chairman of the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival, says, "The C.O.R.T. Series is the reason many of us visit our sister islands and Cape Air is the best way to get there. Hosting the awards for the Cape Air C.O.R.T. Series is an honor and our way of saying thanks."

Winners of the 2010 Cape Air C.O.R.T. Series will be announced at the series conclusion in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Round-trip tickets will be awarded to the first place finisher in each of the five C.O.R.T. Classes: Racing, Performance Cruising, Racer-Cruiser, Jib & Main and IC-24. A Beach Cat class will be added with the sign-up of a minimum of 5 boats. First place boats in each of the classes will received foul weather gear and second and third place boats will receive $75 and $50 gift certificates, respectively, from West Marine.

Registration for the Cape Air C.O.R.T. Series is $60. Registration will take place at the St. Croix Yacht Club Hospice Regatta. Final registration is at the Puerto Rico Heineken International Regatta.

Cape Air offers convenient and reliable hourly flights that make travel between Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola and Vieques easier than ever.

The airline also offers special joint fares and convenient connections with major airlines, making it easier for sailors anywhere in the world to get to their favorite Caribbean destination.
