St. Thomas women sail the Club 420s.
Calling all women sailors and tennis players. The camaraderie that comes from a weekend of close-knit competition is what you'll find at the 3rd Annual St. Thomas Radiology Women's Regatta & Tennis Tournament, set for November 6 to 9, at the St. Thomas Yacht Club (STYC), St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The two-person Club 420 will be the boat for the sailing portion of this event, offering an opportunity for novice and experienced sailors to pair up in round-robin competition where boats are shared among all competitors. Girls and women age 12 and older are invited to register. There's a special draw for boomer-age women. The new Cinquagenarian Trophy will be awarded to the highest placing team with both skipper and crew in excess of 50 fabulous years of age. In addition, the Master's Trophy will be awarded to the highest placing team consisting of both skipper and crew sporting 40-plus years of age. The first, second and third place finishers will also receive trophies.

"On behalf of St. Thomas Radiology, we're pleased to sponsor this sailing regatta and tennis tournament for women and look forward an even bigger and better event this year," says director, Jessica Rosenberg.

Registration forms are available at the STYC or by calling 775-6320. Final registration will take place on Friday November 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Club, when entrants can also enjoy a cocktail reception. Races will be run on Saturday and Sunday, with the first race starting at 10 a.m. and no races started after 1 p.m. on Sunday. The registration fee of $95 per person includes entry fee, continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Saturday, dinner Saturday after racing, a BBQ Brunch on Sunday, entertainment, and a goodie bag with T-shirt, sports bottle and other neat items. The first second and third place finishers will receive prizes.

For more information and to register, contact the STYC at 340-775-6320.
